Audrey's first brush with Pilates several years ago was as a client coping with back pain and scoliosis. Pilates proved to be such a life-altering experience for her that in 2003, she changed reins from the corporate world to become an instructor, in hopes of touching other lives through movement.

Fully certified in the Pilates, GYROTONIC®, and GYROKINESIS® methods, Audrey is passionate about providing the best care for her clients. Till this day, she travels extensively to learn from various master trainers to broaden her skill set and shares it with her fellow instructors. Both a Balanced Body Master Instructor and a Pre-Trainer in the GYROTONIC® method, Audrey has a passion for helping aspiring instructors begin their journey towards certification. She conducts Instructor training in Singapore and in Asia, she also had the opportunity to present at the Asian Fitness Conference in 2012.

A mother of 2, Audrey has taken a keen interest in working with pre/post natal women. Having exercised through both her pregnancies, she has experienced the benefits of exercise for both mother and child from pregnancy, to delivery and beyond. This new phase in her life has also led her to discover the value of using mindful movement to change the lives of the physically challenged. She has spent the last few years mentoring under Elizabeth Larkam through the Passing the Torch and Movement Strategies program to hone her skills.
Audrey's passion for helping others through movement has led her to volunteer at ABLE, a charitable organization where she provides consultancy and expertise in the setup and running of a pilates- based rehabilitation centre.

Kathy Grant Heritage Training Graduate

Lisa's career in the fitness industry started in 2002 and she has not stopped learning about or teaching movement since. Movement and the mind are her passions whether it be for rehabilitation, general life or sports specific (having competed in and won her age group in IronMan UK 2012).  Having suffered from a bulging disc in 2013 which stopped her in her tracks for a while, she also understands first hand what it takes to overcome injury and fear of movement.  Had it not been for Pilates she would not have been able to return to normal everyday life activities as quickly as she did.

Her philosophy regarding movement is simple: the body likes to and needs to move, and the greater variety of ways we can move and the more we enjoy it, the better for us mentally and physically.  Our body tells our life story and holds our emotions, now studying coaching she brings that element into teaching too to create a more wholistic session if requested.  She uses Pilates equipment in her sessions as well as all other toys available to create an hour tailored towards what the body needs.
Everyone is unique and has individual motivation, ways of learning and stories to tell - Lisa's goal is to inspire and empower clients for everyday life.

In 2010 she became a Balanced Body faculty member trained directly under co-founder Nora St John, and a Core Align Master Trainer trained under creator Jonathan Hoffman and loves to share what she has learnt over the years with trainers of any experience. In 2014 she became a 3rd generation trainer under the Cara Reeser/ Kathy Grant Heritage Training, Kathy Grant being a student of Joseph Pilates himself and Cara Reeser a student of Kathy's.

Physiotherapist (BPt, MHS)
Balanced Body® Faculty- Pilates
Polestar Pilates Certified Instructor

Aparna graduated as a physiotherapist in 2002, and since has worked with orthopaedic, neurologic, paediatric and geriatric populations. Her passion has always been to help those with movement disorders - adults with stroke, children with cerebral palsy. Her mum's menopause-related depression and osteoporosis introduced her to Pilates. Attending semi-privates with her gave Aparna a deeper understanding of the importance of the inner unit in our day-to-day living. The importance of exercise in those with depression was also highlighted through these sessions. The concept of mindful exercise appealed to her, and she decided to  undertake formal Pilates training as an instructor. Aparna used the exercises she learned to get the immobile mobile again. The joy on her patient's faces fed her passion. She has rehabilitated those with spinal cord injuries back to work; and has placed a wheelchair-bound patient with low confidence and brittle bones back into the driver's seat of her car.

As a physiotherapist, Aparna is all about empowering her patients to be independent. As an educator, she is all about exchanging ideas and knowledge. She currently conducts Mat and Reformer courses at The Moving Body in Singapore.

Aparna teaches: ABC: Anatomy Basics & the Core | Pilates Mat 1, 2 | Pilates Reformer 1, 2, 3 |
