Train Your Eyes: Pilates & Fitness Movement Assessment
Pre-Pilates and basic Pilates exercises are far more than just stepping stones toward advanced repertoire — they are essential tools for building a strong foundation and for truly understanding your clients. These seemingly simple movements reveal a wealth of information about a client’s body: their movement patterns, areas of strength and weakness, compensations, and overall movement intelligence.
Learning to observe clients with a trained, discerning eye allows you to design more effective, personalized programs and guide your clients toward healthier, more efficient movement in both their Pilates practice and daily life.
In this focused 3-hour workshop, you will:
-
Learn what to look for during pre-Pilates and basic Pilates movements, uncovering hidden movement habits that might otherwise go unnoticed.
-
Develop sharper observational skills, enabling you to identify subtle compensations and patterns that inform your teaching strategy.
-
Understand movement priorities, gaining clarity on which exercises to introduce in your clients’ first three sessions to establish a strong, safe, and effective foundation.
-
Build confidence in assessment, learning how to use these initial exercises as diagnostic tools to guide your progression planning.
-
Refine your teaching approach, enhancing your ability to meet clients where they are and support them in achieving their goals safely and efficiently.
-
Empower your clients from day one, fostering trust and helping them experience immediate improvements in movement awareness and control.
Through guided practice, hands-on observation, and interactive discussion, you’ll leave this workshop with a stronger eye, a deeper understanding of movement mechanics, and practical tools you can immediately apply in your teaching.
Take your teaching to the next level — become the instructor who sees beyond the surface and transforms every session into a meaningful, targeted experience.
