Balanced Body® Teacher Training Program

Balanced Body is an internationally recognised provider of Pilates education, headquartered in Sacramento, US. For years, Balanced Body was a world leader in making quality Pilates equipment, and stemmed into becoming an education provider with some of the same people who created the Polestar Pilates curriculum. Balanced Body is also at the forefront of supporting the efforts of the Pilates Method Alliance to create a standard of excellence within the Pilates community (Pilates is an unregulated industry).

A Balanced Body Pilates education respectfully and comprehensively presents the works of Joseph Pilates. Our signature approach teaches the repertoire, movement principles, class design and client specific applications of each exercise. At Balanced Body, we encourage you to explore and create your own voice and style as a practitioner, as we believe this approach respects the past and builds the future. Our master instructors, manuals and video support are some of the best in the industry.

On Continuing Education

What are Continuing Education Credits (CECs)?

Continuing Education Credits (CECs or CEUs) are required by the Pilates Method Alliance and most Pilates, personal training and group exercise certification programs in order to renew your membership or your status as a certified instructor. Each organization sets its own requirements for the number of Continuing Education Credits (CECs or CEUs) needed annually or bi-annually.

How many CECs must I have annually?

Balanced Body does require continuing education: 16 hours every two years.
